Andrew Truong

Andrew Truong was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, where he attended Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School. He went on to earn his undergraduate degree in Ecological Biology from the University of Kansas, a time that deepened his appreciation for the natural world and Kansas basketball alike. He later completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, a journey that carried him from the Kansas prairies into city life and helped shape both his professional expertise and his enduring love for the outdoors.

Drawn to wide-open spaces, expansive skies, and the calm of nature, Andrew has always felt closely connected to the land. His family’s farm between Augusta and El Dorado has kept him rooted in Kansas soil, and over the years he has built strong, meaningful relationships within the surrounding communities. These connections have made the area feel like home in the truest sense.

Surrounded by healthcare influences from an early age, Andrew knew he wanted a career centered on helping and serving others. Dentistry proved to be the perfect intersection of care and craft, combining science, technology, artistry, and precision. He values the opportunity dentistry provides to serve as a healthcare provider, artist, and problem-solver all at once, and finds deep fulfillment in each patient interaction.

When he is not in the office, Andrew can usually be found outdoors enjoying good company. He loves hiking scenic trails, snowboarding fresh powder, camping under the stars, and capturing the beauty of the natural world through photography. He is also an amateur mechanic, a passionate (and ever-learning) gardener, and an avid hunter. These interests help keep him grounded, energized, and connected to life’s simpler pleasures.

Andrew’s family may be small, but it is full of love. He shares his life with his wonderful fiancé, Alex, and their two mischievous cats, who bring constant laughter and warmth into their home.

Inspired by the Midwest’s landscapes of prairies and mountains, especially the timeless beauty of the Flint Hills, Andrew looks forward to continuing to share these scenes through his photography. Looking ahead, he and his best friend plan to start a small herd of cattle together, as he learns the art of riding and roping. Always eager to grow and learn, Andrew warmly welcomes tips and advice from fellow ranchers, cowboys, and cowgirls as he takes on this next chapter.
